A man in a denim shirt pulling white network cable through a wiring rack

Khalil Dorsey

Owner and lead designer

Khalil draws the plans and sets up the controls. He started from the wiring side and kept asking why the switches never matched the rooms.

He walks every house first, draws every plan and comes back after dark to set the levels. When a designer sends drawings, he is the one who reads them.

What he does

  • Lighting plans
  • Dimming and keypads
  • Low-voltage controls

The crew

Who you will meet

Seven of us in all. These are the people you deal with.

  • A man in a cap reaching up to fit a pendant lamp in a dim, warm room

    Isidro Montoya

    Lead installer

Runs fixture day. He hangs the fixtures, checks the boxes and aims each light.

  • Celia Escamilla

    Design coordinator

    (505) 555-0101

Answers the phone, books the walk-throughs and keeps every fixture schedule current.

How we work

We start with the switch plate

A room can have good fixtures and still feel wrong, because the plate by the door runs everything at once. We plan the controls first and the fixtures second, then wire it that way.

  • One circuit per layer

  • Names on the plan, names in the house

  • A walk-through after dark
